Queens of Heritage: Freedom Forward

The 2026 Miss Savannah Juneteenth Scholarship Program stands firmly at the intersection of heritage and the future, honoring the power of Juneteenth while equipping a new generation of young women to rise with confidence, purpose, and vision.

This year’s theme, “Queens of Heritage: Freedom Forward,” recognizes that today’s young women are not starting from scratch—they are standing on legacy. Juneteenth is not only a historical marker of freedom delayed but a call to action: to move forward intentionally, educated, and unafraid.

From January through June, the program unfolds as a cultural, leadership, and scholarship journey, culminating during Savannah’s Juneteenth season and anchored by signature experiences designed specifically for this generation.

JUNETEENTH AT THE CENTER

Juneteenth is the heartbeat of this program.

Throughout the season, participants engage in experiences that reflect the spirit of Juneteenth: freedom spoken, resilience honored, and progress pursued. Leadership workshops, cultural conversations, service opportunities, and mentorship moments are all intentionally framed around the idea that freedom today looks like access, education, confidence, and choice.

The program challenges young women to ask:

  • What does freedom mean for me?

  • How do I honor those who came before me?

  • How do I use my voice, education, and influence for what comes next?

Designed for This Generation

This program speaks directly to today’s young women—ambitious, aware, and ready. Through hands-on experiences and scholarship opportunities, participants gain confidence, sharpen their goals, and step into spaces knowing they belong.

Powerful. Purposeful. Prepared.

We provide job training and career development services to help our clients gain the skills and experience they need to find stable employment. We also offer resume writing and interview preparation support.

Queens of Heritage: Freedom Forward

is more than a theme—it is a declaration.

The 2026 Miss Savannah Juneteenth Scholarship Program exists to uplift young women as they claim their place in the future, guided by the strength of their heritage and empowered by opportunity. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is worth waiting for—but progress requires action.

And this generation is ready.
