Morgan Waterman is a motivated student and emerging leader set to graduate in May 2027. With a heart rooted in service and community, she actively volunteers with Adopt-A-Park, Brown Bag for the Elderly, the Salvation Army Pantry Organization, and as a Summer Camp Volunteer, reflecting her deep commitment to giving back and creating positive change.
A natural leader, Morgan serves as SkillsUSA Secretary and Prom Committee member, while also participating in the 100 Black Men of Savannah Youth Leadership Academy, Stock Market Investment Club, and the 365 Black History Quiz Bowl Club. Her involvement across these programs highlights her drive for excellence, leadership, and cultural awareness. In her free time, she enjoys reading, shopping, baking, and traveling—activities that showcase her creativity, curiosity, and love for learning.
Morgan’s aspiration to become Miss Savannah Juneteenth is fueled by her passion for Black girl empowerment and her belief in celebrating history while shaping the future. To her, Juneteenth is more than a holiday—it’s a living symbol of freedom, resilience, and progress, reminding us of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go.
Through the Miss Savannah Juneteenth Scholarship, Morgan hopes to continue her education and expand her leadership journey. She aims to serve as an ambassador for unity and empowerment, inspiring young people across Savannah to embrace their heritage, lead with confidence, and carry forward the legacy of strength and freedom that defines the spirit of Juneteenth.
