About
The Miss Savannah Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant is a celebration of heritage, achievement, and empowerment, honoring the legacy of Juneteenth while preparing young women to step into their power with confidence and grace.
Originally launched as part of the Savannah Juneteenth Fine Arts Festival, hosted by Chosen For The Arts, the pageant has since blossomed into its own distinguished event. While we proudly uphold our connection to the festival, the pageant now serves as a dynamic platform dedicated to uplifting young African American women and preserving the rich history of Juneteenth.
This year’s special focus, "Innovative Queens: A Journey in STEAM," emphasizes education and innovation, with a STEAM scholarship generously provided by our title sponsor, Gulfstream Aerospace. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, winners will receive scholarships, recognition, and exclusive opportunities, empowering them to excel beyond the stage and make a meaningful impact in their communities as future leaders.
Mission
The mission of the Miss Savannah Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant is to celebrate and support young Black women as they pursue academic success, cultural pride, and personal growth. We are dedicated to honoring the Juneteenth legacy by offering scholarships, mentorship, and opportunities for leadership development. Through workshops, community involvement, and meaningful events, the pageant strives to inspire participants to embrace their heritage, cultivate their talents, and confidently pursue their aspirations.
