Jakhia Johnson is a bright and compassionate young leader set to graduate in May 2028. A proud Savannah High School cheerleader, she brings energy, teamwork, and spirit to everything she does. Beyond the sidelines, Jakhia serves her community as a volunteer with My Veterans Place Savannah, sings with the Taylor Chapel Youth Church Choir, and lovingly cares for her great-grandmother—showing that leadership begins with heart.
Jakhia’s dream of becoming Miss Savannah Juneteenth is rooted in her belief that celebrating where we come from is the foundation of knowing who we are. She hopes to represent her community with grace, confidence, and purpose, while inspiring other young Black girls to embrace their history, honor their legacy, and walk proudly in their power.
Through the Miss Savannah Juneteenth Scholarship, Jakhia aims to continue her education and amplify her voice as a young woman dedicated to service, sisterhood, and the beauty of Black excellence.
