On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the 3rd Annual Dreams Fulfilled Scholarship Gala welcomes guests into the grand ballroom of Hyatt Regency Savannah for an elegant Black Tie Affair rooted in history, beauty, and purpose.
The evening opens with red carpet arrivals, a powerful moment of presence as guests step into a space honoring visibility, dignity, and freedom—core to the spirit of Juneteenth and the legacy behind The Crown Was Never Removed. An exclusive VIP Hour follows for VIP guests and VIP tables, setting an intimate, intentional tone rooted in heritage and celebration. As the night unfolds, guests will be welcomed to a beautifully curated seated dinner, accompanied by the sound of a live band, and a signature auction designed to support the future of young women rising already crowned.
This year’s evening is guided by our theme, "The Crown Was Never Removed"..
This year’s guiding concept, The Crown Was Never Removed, is rooted in the history of the 1786 Tignon Law, which attempted to control and diminish Black women by mandating they cover their hair. What was meant to silence instead became a declaration—Black women transformed restriction into elegance, reclaiming visibility, dignity, and power. The crown was never taken; it endured, passed down through generations, worn with intention and pride.
At the 2026 Gala, this legacy will be fully realized in both meaning and style.
Dress Code: Black Tie | Elegance Encouraged.
Guests are invited to elevate classic black-tie attire with intentional head adornment or statement elegance. Women may incorporate headwraps, sculptural headpieces, jeweled pins, crowns, or bold hair statements, while men are encouraged to add cultural or symbolic accents such as brooches, lapel pins, textured fabrics, or heritage details. The emphasis throughout the room: regal, intentional, unapologetic.
The Dreams Fulfilled Scholarship Gala is more than an elegant evening—it is a statement. A celebration that honors the past, uplifts resilience, and invests in the next generation who continue to rise, not by permission, but by purpose.
