Ytinu McDonald, a dedicated student at Savannah Early College, is passionate about leadership and community engagement. As Vice President of both the National Honor Society and Student Council, Ytinu demonstrates exceptional leadership skills. She is also involved in several impactful initiatives, including the School Council, the Feature Georgia Educators Program, the Student Leadership Program, and the Action Research Team. A co-captain of the Bethesda Cheerleading squad and a member of the SLAM Poetry Team, Ytinu is driven to make a difference in her community. She will begin her college journey in Fall 2025 and aims to continue her leadership development in higher education.
Ytinu is competing for the title of Miss Savannah Juneteenth because she is committed to amplifying the spaces around her and becoming a transformative leader. Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the African American community's triumph, resonates deeply with Ytinu’s values. She believes that by becoming Miss Savannah Juneteenth, she can contribute to the continued growth of the Savannah community, embodying the spirit of Juneteenth by encouraging progress and unity.
Through her drive and dedication, Ytinu is confident she would serve as a great representative of the city and its rich history.
