Aeva Jones is a sophomore at Woodville Tompkins Technical High School and an active participant in several community-focused programs. She is a member of the Savannah Youth Ambassadors, Pinky Cole Foundation Youth Entrepreneurs Program, National Society of High School Scholars, and serves as an Ambassador for Justice for Black Girls. Aeva has a passion for poetry and drawing, using these art forms to express herself and engage with the community. Through her involvement in these programs, Aeva is committed to empowering others and building a better future for those around her.
Aeva is competing for the title of Miss Savannah Juneteenth because she believes in the importance of recognizing the contributions of the past and applying those lessons to create a brighter future. Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the African American community’s triumph, resonates deeply with her values.
By becoming Miss Savannah Juneteenth, Aeva hopes to inspire others to honor their history and use it as a foundation for growth, unity, and empowerment. She is passionate about ensuring the legacy of Juneteenth continues to influence the present and future of her community.
