Saiiya, the daughter of Rashida King and Charles Reid, is a dedicated student at Sol C. Johnson High School. She excels academically as a participant in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program and is an active member of FCCLA, FBLA, 21st Century, and the dance team.
Saiiya’s commitment to her community is evident through her roles as a Youth Ambassador and her involvement with GCAPP (Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential). As Miss Teen Savannah Juneteenth, she views this honor as a stepping stone towards college scholarships and an invaluable experience for her future endeavors.
This pioneering event, celebrating the spirit and history of Juneteenth, marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Saiiya embodies the grace, intelligence, and resilience that this historic occasion represents.
