A Coat for the Season is a five-week community service initiative beginning September 17, 2026, developed by Miss Savannah Juneteenth, Miss Teen Savannah Juneteenth, and the Runner-Up.
The campaign will collect new coats for students from elementary through high school, with a special focus on teenagers. Elementary-size coats will support students in CFTA’s The LAB after-school program, while teen coats will be distributed throughout the community.
The initiative will conclude with Coats and Confidence Give Back Day toward the end of October, providing registered students with coats, seasonal essentials, encouragement, and support.
Individuals, businesses, churches, schools, and community organizations can support A Coat for the Season by donating new coats, sponsoring coat purchases, supporting Complete the Coat essentials, or partnering with the Court for Coats and Confidence Give Back Day.
Organizations may also coordinate a group collection and schedule a pickup
